The recent guest artist run was a good idea. I’m glad I did it. I was near the end of my rope with Palupo and about to call it quits, but one guy impressed me so much I asked him to be my replacement as the artist.
His name is Oliver Hanbidge-Smith. I was very happy when he said he’d do it. He couldn’t wait to get started and has been making comics like a machine ever since. Because of that, we have built up a buffer already. That’s something I’ve had only once or twice in the five years of doing this by myself.
Oliver didn’t just impress me with his art, he has an understanding of character nuances and development I didn’t think was possible. He knows more about Palupo than I do. He has also proven to be invaluable as an adviser and idea guy. He is passionate and committed, and he is just what Palupo needs.
The really good news is, since he is not lazy like me, we will be updating twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays, instead of only once.
Here is our FB and Twatter:
Oliver agreed to take care of all that garbage, so he’s kind of the trash man here at Palupo Inc. as well.
Here’s a little something personal from my early stalker days- It’s me and my wife. Oh to be young and handsome again. This scene is long before I convinced her to be mine. My dearest wife Meg hates this picture because she says “I drew her all ugly”.
